When will bookings close?
Direct hotel bookings will stay open until the hotels are fully booked or the room types have been fully booked. Room numbers are very limited.
Will the payment go off immediately?
Yes, for direct hotel bookings it will.
What do I do if I just want to book the room directly with the hotel and pay immediately?
You will not receive the preferred congress rate. However, you are booking directly with the hotel and will be required to pay immediately.
What do I do if I just want to book the room/group booking but pay at a later stage?
Unfortunately this cannot be done on the book direct system.
What to do if I need to change a booking already made?
Contact the hotel directly and arrange the change.
What to do if I need to cancel a booking already made?
Contact the hotel directly and arrange the cancellation. Please check the booking terms and conditions for each hotel prior to booking.
Will there be a cancellation fee if I cancel my booking?

What do I do if I need a proforma invoice?
Contact the hotel directly and arrange the pro-forma invoice.
What do I do if it shows that there is no availability?
Go back to the rate sheet and select another hotel.
What time is check in?

What time is check out?
Usually 11h00, please check the booking terms and conditions for each hotel prior to booking. I would like a late check out. Please check the booking terms and conditions for each hotel prior to booking. Contact the hotels to make the necessary arrangements. There could be an additional charge.
How far is the conference centre from the hotel?
All the hotels selected are within easy walking distance of the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Therefore, there is no need for hotel shuttles services. This is part of the congress’s sustainability programme.
How far is the conference centre from the airport?
The CTICC is 20km from the airport.
Do you have an airport shuttle service?
FIG2026 will negotiate preferential rates for Congress delegates/exhibitors closer to the Congress. See Airport transfers’ page.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
Luggage may be left at the hotel subject to front desk approval.
